There's usually a lot more life in that old box than the manufacturer would like you to believe there is. My daughter still uses a computer that started it's life as a 486/66 but now runs at the pace of a Pentium 133. Sure it's not the latest and greatest but it does everything she needs. Considering that it only cost about $100 to upgrade including labor, it was very cost effective.
